Week 23- Saved a life this week...literally
This week was full of hard work and joy! We were able to see the Lord magnify our efforts for being diligent and working hard.
Saturday was brilliant. We were able to follow the spirit and accomplish things that the Lord wanted us to. We had to decide either to walk or bus to the chapel for the ward Christmas party. We said a prayer and felt that we needed to take the bus. So we did! This transfer, we have been envisioning an African family with 3 kids to bring into this ward. As soon as the bus drove up, I saw this couple and said, "Ohhh we are definitely sitting by that amazing couple." So we immediately sat next to them and started a conversation. They are from Nigeria and moved here with their family. With THREE kids!!! Sister Hanks and I were beaming with a smile. We started getting to know them and they are strong believers in Christ. We met with their beliefs and introduced the Book of Mormon. They grabbed it immediately and started flipping through the pages. We gave it to them and the father said, "I always thought as I read the Bible that there were books and parts missing." We were ecstatic and are going over next week to share a message with their family! God is so good.
Straight after we had the ward Christmas party and SO many people came. We had 2 Nigerian families, our sweet friend Lacey, a retuning member named Niven, and a few more. It was pure joy to see the light of Christ beam in that room. It's a blessing to see the Lord help you when you are diligent and place your missionary purpose before anything else!
We also were able to sing for the Light the World machine in Manchester and it was awesome. We even took off our tags and focused fully on serving as the Savior would. Christmas is the best.
Also legit saved a man's life today. It was crraaazy. This amazing man helped us because the members we were withs car broke down. Long story short he POPPED HIS ACHILLES pushing the car. Then holy moly he started have a seizure and we had to keep him awake till the ambulance came. It was wild. He is all okay though and man Sahil was a trooper. He was the kindest man ever and had a suuuuper posch porche. Love him and praying for him always.
Also had the scariest meal appointment of my life. So be glad I am still here! Thought I was going to diiiiiie.
Anyways doing amazing out here! Sorry I've been so dead and haven't responded to anyone in ages. Mission life is a bit stressful. But it's the best! Love you all so much!
