I love the Book of Mormon OKAYYY. Cmon it is so good. I've been studying it a lot this week and why it's so important. And every time I just find how it really was written for OUR day. We are so lucky. It's soooo cool, Nephi legit saw our day!!!! Shocks me every time. The Book of Mormom brings so much power into my day and I know it can do the same for all of us cause we can all relate to it! It's so simple and so goooooood. Elder Bednar gave an amazing talk last conference called, "In the Space of Not Many Years" and WOW. It is amazing. Listen to thus quote, "Each of the major writers of the Book of Mormon testified that he wrote for future generations. … If they saw our day, and chose those things which would be of greatest worth to us, is not that how we should study the Book of Mormon?" AMEN to that.
This week we were able to meet a lot of people placed in our path. We were in Chester and right when we got off of the bus to walk in to this big city we found John! He's from Nigeria so I knew he would be amazing. We had a full lesson with him on the street about the Book of Mormon and he said he wants to start reading! We were so excited and after we finsihed talking we walked away. 20 minutes go by and he walks by us again! We yelled hello to him accross the busy city. He had a huge smile and waved back. Then after about another 30 minutes, Sister Chiong looks over at me and said, "Did you ever give him the Book of Mormon you were holding?" I immediately sprang up, called John, and we RAN accross Chester, dying laughing, to go find him and deliver his Book of Mormon. I completely forgot to most important thing duhhh! And it was a success! We found him, gave it to him, and he has started reading. God is in the details, he places his children in our path, and even multiple to remind us that they really are there! And to remind us to give them the Book of Mormon. Sometimes I just need to remember these small tender mercies when times are tough and when I feel like I'm not doing enough.
