Week 16-Where the heck am I
Hello! Ummm I'm in Chester! It's wild. This is the most rich place ever. Butttt wow it's beautiful. Staying in a house with 4 sisters and it's quite a party. I love Sister Good and Sister Ware soooo much, GREAT STLs. Wow
This week was probably one of the hardest for me but I really understood what it means to rely on the Lord. Sister Chiong and I came into this area with NO information because there was like a freaking glitch in the system or something. I have never been more stressed ever. We were sitting in this random place in huge Chester trying to figure things out and I went to the bathroom, knelt down on the bathroom floor and just pleaded, crying to the Lord to give me soooomething...anything. We decided to just go out and talk to people and boom. Met 3 of the best people so quickly! God really placed people right in our path and knew we were trying our best. So much joy and relief filled me and I was able to enjoy the rest of the day to the best we could! I was quickly reminded of the joy that comes with this great work.
It reminded me of my ALL TIME favorite scripture. Mosiah 24:13-14 "And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage. 14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions"
PLEASE READ THAT.
It made me weirdly be grateful for these experiences because it's really when I see the Lord help me. He always is! Whether it's big or small.
We are teaching some pretty awesome, prepared people here in Chester. The ward is AMAZING and so willing to help. Everything is great besides the stuuuupid bus that like never comes. But I'm here for the Lord not myself! Always constantly reminding myself.
Oh and ALSO literally the best thing happened. On Thursday I got to see MY BEST FRIENDS. Everyone I came out with!!! Seriously the best day ever. I got to see my favorite people Sister Olson and Hudson and man oh man it was so good to see them. They make me so happy. We were able to go to Lyme Park where Pride and Prejudice was filmed and look basically at our whole mission from up top. It was a very special experience. We were able to reflect on our training. It confirmed to us that this is where we are needed. There is no coincidence I was sent across oceans for a time such as this!
I love you all so much!!! Thank you for all of your prayers
